The issue features two themed sections:
- Literary Fantasy and Its Discontents
- Indiescape Hong Kong and the Post-Handover Film World
It is worth mentioning that we started to prepare for the Hong Kong theme before the current wave of protests began in summer 2019. The authors contributing to this section have all responded to the meaning of making and promoting independent film in the here and now of Hong Kong.
In addition to the feature topics, the issue also includes five research articles in literary studies.
